Third Space aims to foster an inclusive, practical discourse about the aesthetics, function, ethics and meaning of contemporary and socially engaged art practices that resonates within and outside the contemporary art dialogue.

In order to expand the increasingly vital dialogue in the field of social and transdisciplinary practice – providing evidence-based research and engaging with artists, citizens, policy-makers, activists and community groups – this project proposes to create a discursive forum and site of opportunity, within which to further develop, recontextualise and reevaluate creative strategies and contexts and whose frame of reference is the wider socio-cultural sphere within which it exists locally and globally
